Technology In the Classroom
Hello all!
I would like to welcome you to my new blog where we will talk about how to integrate technology into the classroom while making it effective and the learning outcomes meaningful.
I would like to start off by introducing myself. My name is Allison Aldridge and I am currently an undergrad student at Texas State University pursuing my EC-6th education degree. I am choosing to write about technology in the classroom because it has become such a mainstream thing especially in the time of the current COVID pandemic.
When I talk about technology in the classroom, I do not just mean having your students play cool math games or watch a Youtube video on the civil war. What I mean is using technology devices to extend your students knowledge and hopefully let them have a sense of control on their learning after the content has been taught in class.
Technology in the classroom also puts a world of information in your students hands and can act as a tool to assess your students. Using technology in the classroom can also create more of an inclusive learning environment especially for the students who learn best by technology.
I have learned from my courses at Texas State that using technology in the classroom can be a very beneficial asset to learning. Follow me on this virtual journey to learn about how to integrate technology across the curriculum!
